Lapland is located in Finland, Northern Europe and takes up about one third of Finland’s total area.
Due to extreme weather conditions in Lapland we strongly suggest that you do not take infants under 2 years as a great deal of time is spent out in the extreme Arctic conditions.
The average daily temperature in Lapland is -5C to -25C,. Going on past experiences early December is not as cold as late December. Snow conditions can vary from year to year, therefore we cannot give accurate guidelines on this.
Thermal clothing and boots are provided on all trips. It is advisable that you wear comfortable thermal garments and wrap up warm in light layers at all times.
Euro is the currency used, ATM’s are very limited. Credit cards are excepted in most places.
Individual EU Passport required – No visa required by Irish Passports holders.
Average days in Lapland will see 4.5 hours of daylight (normally between 10.00 – 14.30).
Outdoor venues are naturally lit by roaring fires and Lappish outdoor candles providing an attractive setting.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffet style and will cater for adults and children’s tastes. The variety and type of food vary from place to place.
